2018 has been a brilliant year of growth for Walker Wylie. June saw our 2 year anniversary which gave us pause to reflect on just how far we have come as an independent estate agency in Glasgow, and where we hope the next two years will take us.
Another year of growth predicted during 2019
The continued growth we have seen throughout 2018 is set to continue during 2019, with our unique personal approach and transparent price plan continuing to provide those looking to sell property in Glasgow with a better option. Glasgow’s outstanding results during 2018
The outlook for the Glasgow property market looks positive, and we expect the upward trend in house prices across to continue. The latest House Price Index Report shows a 5.8% increase across Scotland in the average house price during the preceding year. Glasgow has well outperformed this national average, showing a 10.4% increase in average house price from September 2017 – September 2018.
What will Brexit bring?
With uncertainties around Brexit and the impact that will have on property, Glasgow homeowners can take some comfort in the fact that we are starting from such a strong baseline. We are closely monitoring negotiations and are advising our customers on the potential impact Brexit could have on their property sale as information is brought to light.
