Walker Wylie Estate Agents presents May’s property of the month – a beautiful semi-detached villa in one of the most desirable cul-de-sacs in Newlands, Southside. Yet, we knew of properties on the same street which hadn’t sold as quickly as expected. Would we experience the same challenges?

A beautiful South Side villa

Set within one of the most desirable cul-de-sac settings in Newlands, this semi-detached villa had so much to offer potential buyers. Well-landscaped front and back gardens, a spacious driveway and converted attic space. Outstanding period features included ceiling roses, picture rails, stained glass window inserts and gorgeous fireplaces. And modern elements too, such as a fitted kitchen and a bright spacious windowed lounge.

But we had to be careful we approached the sale in the right way.

As Stuart Wylie explains: “Despite the obvious beauty of the property and desirable location, we knew of properties on the same street which had been on the market for a while.
