December Property of the MonthPosted on 4th January 2021 in News
Our December Property of the Month was as big a hit with the public as it was with everyone in the office. A truly outstanding detached bungalow set within one of the most sought-after neighbourhoods in Glasgow South, our property of the month is Ayr Road.
From the point of the initial valuation, it was clear to Director Barry Walker that one of the most effective tools we would have for marketing this property was a for sale board. The importance of a for sale board in front of your property whilst selling is often underestimated, however it allows us as your agent to get a ‘jump start’ with your marketing. Particularly when you live on a street that receives through traffic like Ayr Road does, it gives potential buyers a chance to notice your property before any marketing has officially begun. Often when the property isn’t online yet, people will come directly to us for more information giving us a point of contact with viewers ahead of time.
We had viewers booked for this property almost immediately from enquiries generated by the ‘for sale’ board and our comprehensive database, as well as a further influx of enquiries we received from online property portals. As we’ve mentioned before in previous blog posts, the quality of the marketing materials – in particular the photographs – is of the utmost importance when putting a property online. Poor quality marketing material means less people are likely to follow through with a viewing. This is why we pride ourselves in offering the highest quality of material and provide a high level of attention to detail.
On Christmas Eve, within one week of the Glasgow South property being launched to the market, we managed to agree a sale figure that our clients were delighted with, as were we as it represented our biggest sale of the year – we’re glad we were able to end 2020 on a high note for our clients and ourselves!

Happy New Year!
